At Lawton High School it is important that students excel in all areas of development, not just in           academic excellence. LHS offers its students a wide range of clubs and organizations in which to           participate that will help the student to become a more well-rounded, model citizen of our school,           community, and state.

During the first few weeks of the school year, students are given the opportunity to sign up with           different clubs/organizations. During the Spirit Assembly at the beginning of the year, students are           also introduced to the clubs, organizations, and sports at Lawton High School.

The clubs & organizations are as diverse as the student population at LHS. We hope that if you are a           student reviewing this web site that you will find at least one, if not more, clubs or organizations that           you can take an active part in during your time at LHS. These clubs & organizations offer not only a           chance for you to take a "break" from academics, but they strive to promote leadership, community           service, and a place to get to know others in a more relaxed and fun setting.

If you are a parent reviewing this site, we hope that you will encourage your student(s) to actively              seek out a club and/or organization to be a part of during their time at LHS. All activities are              supervised by faculty and support personnel. The sponsors work hard to ensure that quality time is              spent doing activities while helping the club/organization members to grow in various areas. Feel              free, as a parent, to come visit the club/organization with your student.
