The Eisenhower, Lawton High and MacArthur high school Academic Teams are excited to introduce the first annual Trivia Night Tournament. This event, which is open to the public, will begin at 6 p.m. on March 27 at Lawton High School.
Students will keep scores, manage timers and work concessions, while teachers will act as moderators and judges.
LHS Academic Quiz Bowl coach Stephanie Hillary said the event was designed to draw in community members and show them there are programs available for all students—not only physical athletics.
“We are excited to see the involvement and support from our community!” Hillary said.
Entry requirements: (1) At least four people per team. Members of the team cannot be a current high school student; (2) Must have a team name; (3) Early registration is $80 and is due by March 1. For those that register after March 1, the fee will be $100; (4) Final registration deadline is March 23; (5) Fill out the entry form to register, which will be available at all three high schools, on Eventbrite or can be emailed upon request.
“The funding from this fundraiser will go towards fees for National Academic Quizbowl Tournaments, travel, state competitions and student meals throughout the year,” Hilliary said.
Concessions will be available. All proceeds will go to the EHS, LHS and MHS Academic Teams.
