Wolverine History
Lawton High School shares a rich history with the City of Lawton and surrounding areas. Founded in November of 1901, Lawton Public Schools has provided over a century of excellence in education. LHS was originally located in downtown Lawton. The original building (known also as "the old Central Jr. High") is currently the new City Hall building.
Lawton High School graduated its first class in our current building during the Spring of 1955.
Believing that all students can and will learn, Lawton High School is committed to providing a safe and positive learning atmosphere that will challenge young students to strive for the academic and technological excellence that will open the door for a successful and productive future.
